You will need to provide your local U.S. Consulate/Embassy with the necessary documentation required for a temporary visa. It may take a few months for your application to be processed, so please allow ample time.
If you are not a U.S. citizen, you likely will need a visa to enter the United States. Temporary visitors to the U.S. must comply with U.S. visa immigration law and specific procedures to apply for a visa.
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of certain countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business [visitor (B) visa purposes] for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. VWP travelers are required to apply for authorization though the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA), are screened at their port of entry into the United States, and are enrolled in the Department of Homeland Security’s US-VISIT program.
